Changes to the documents we need for self employed clients who self assess

From Tuesday 24 March we're making the following changes:

  • Instead of submitting a HMRC cover letter for clients who self assess online, please submit your clients Online Tax Year Overview (which must show the full payment of any tax due) as well as the last two years Online Tax Calculations
  • And for clients who submit paper based tax returns to HMRC, you won't need to submit a Tax Year Overview, just the last two years paper based Tax Calculations

Any documents you've already submitted with a HMRC cover letter will be processed as normal.
