Changes to ID requirements
Date: 29.01.2010From today we'll be making some positive changes to our ID requirements. We'll no longer need the paper counterpart to new style driving licences, and we're accepting UK National ID cards as proof of name. The changes detailed below are designed to make it easier for you to submit applications to us.

Name and address ID
Photocard Driving Licence - We no longer require the paper counterpart to the new style Photocard Driving Licence. This relates to both Full and Provisional UK and Northern Ireland Photocard Driving Licences.
Benefit Books - As these are no longer issued by the government, this item has been removed from the list of acceptable Name and Address ID - a benefit letter from a Government organisation will remain as an acceptable item.
Name ID
UK National ID Cards - We're now accepting these as proof of name, UK citizens living in greater Manchester have been able to apply for a UK National ID Card from late 2009, citizens living in the wider North West England area will be able to apply from early 2010.
Address ID
Regional Brand statements as acceptable address ID - We're accepting savings account and mortgage statements from our Regional Brands (Cheshire, Derbyshire and Dunfermline Building Societies) for proof of address.
